Exploring Miagao: Tinagong Dagat + 7 Falls Edition

AWESOME. Maybe you just can't get over about my recent post and so I would give you facts and instructions on how to get there. YES. You can actually go to that awesome place like I did. And I swear, the experience is UNFORGETTABLE. After the experience, hiking will be one of your hobbies! =)

Before everything else, here are some facts about Tinagong Dagat:
  • Tinagong Dagat is the boundary of Miagao and Igbaras.
  • It is a part of Barrio Ongyod

Here are the instructions going to Tinagong Dagat:
  1. From Miagao, we rode a jeep going to Barangay Tigmarabo. We didn't exactly went to Tinagong Dagat immediately because we came late in the afternoon already. So I advise you awesome people to come early!
  2. The next morning, we already made our way to Barrio Ongyod where Tinagong Dagat is located. It was a tough hike because some paths were really steep that we really have to CRAWL. Usually it takes hikers 2-3 hours to get there but since we are 'beginners' it took us 4 hours.
  3. After we enjoyed the wonderful view of Tinagong Dagat, we had a 2 hour walk going to the Diwata Falls which is the highest fall of the 7 falls and then to Buslugan falls which is the 1st of 7 falls.
  4. It took us 2 hours to go back to civilization.

TINAGONG DAGAT and the '7 FALLS' are two of the best places to be! I hope I was able to encourage you to go there! The hike is worth it; once you're there, you won't even feel a single pain.

A friendly reminder:
PLEASE DON'T THROW YOUR TRASH ANYWHERE. It's either you bring it home or just put it in your bag. Let's take care of Tinagong Dagat and the '7 Falls'! Let's take care of Mother Earth! =)

Exploring Miagao: Tingagong Dagat Edition

TINAGONG DAGAT. The name speaks volume, isn't it? Who knew that behind those gigantic trees there is a sea? I'm kidding. Good thing my roommates explained to me that it was not a sea but a lake. Yes, a lake inside the forest of Miag-ao. Who knew right? All I do is to study and pass through the forest everyday and then there is a lake. The view is great but once you step into the mysterious place you'll just forget all the pain that you had while going there. It was so beautiful.

Let us take another look on my adventure to Tinagong Dagat. Tara!

Tinagong Dagat

This is Tinagong Dagat. Looks like that Taal lake in Batangas right? My companions would say they are totally different but I just want to believe that they are the same.

Going there was not that easy because you have to walk and even crawl. The path going there is really steep however, the scenery going there is quite remarkable. It was truly breath-taking. I could touch the sky if I would want to.

This path going there looks like a place from New Zealand. Actually, when we were passing here I was imagining myself having a picnic, drinking tea and reading a novel.

Along the way we saw this beautiful flower. I rarely see flowers in the city and I'm so glad they took a photo of this 'rare' flower. It was just so beautiful that it was incomparable to other flowers. I would want to pick this flower, however, the guide said that I should just leave it there so that others would see it.

Sharing beauty to everybody is the greatest thing in the world rather than keeping it only to yourself.

Path going to Tinagong Dagat

When we reached the Tinagong Dagat, we saw some fishes in the lake. The guide said it was a 'fishing site' before, however, the lake is quite mysterious. Every time a boat tries to go across the lake, it sinks. Yes, it sinks. He even said that there are a lot of unfortunate souls under the water. The bodies were never recovered because they were sucked by the 'kumuloy' below. Goosebumps.

Well, our goal of swimming there was ruined. But still no regrets because he brought us to the falls which was truly amazing and mezmerizing. =)

While we were there, we were also able to capture the view of Mt. Napulak. IT WAS BEAUTIFUL. I promised myself to go there next sembreak and capture a lot more photos! =)

Well, the guide did take us to the falls. Unfortunately, I forgot the name but he said that there are 7 falls there.

The falls was just so beautiful and it reminds me of the Maria Cristina Falls in Laguna. The water was so pure and cold. Great way to relax after the Tinagong Dagat experience.

Sembreak camp wouldn't be possible without my wonderful and beautiful companions.

So that was my wonderful adventure in Tinagong Dagat. Hope you all visit it because you won't regret it! It's a great escape from the polluted air of the city.

Blogging Again...

BLOG never existed in my life until I reached high school. Yeah. HIGH SCHOOL. You might think that I am too primitive but it is not my fault though. Gadgets are not my thing way back in grade school. I like playing around, running in the quadrangle, hiding in forbidden places (e.g. faculty room, storage room) and staying up late just to play jack stone. I AM A NAUGHTY CHILD. I KNOW. I just can't help it.

Anyways, B-L-O-G came into my life during my sophomore year. Yes, sophomore year. Where have I been all my life? Our teacher in journalism required us to make a blog. It was our project for the 2nd quarter. He told us to use www.blogspot.com as to start our 'blogging adventures'. Everyday, we have to post about our 'adventure' and 'escapades'. He doesn't really care whether it was exciting or not as long as we post something on our blog. He was just really fond of reading our blogs because he believes that it will help us to develop our skills. KUDOS TO MY TEACHER! =)

Unfortunately, I forgot the password of my blog because after that quarter ended I forgot about it. -_-

So, I'm back again. And yes, I'M BLOGGING AGAIN.
