TINAGONG DAGAT. The name speaks volume, isn't it? Who knew that behind those gigantic trees there is a sea? I'm kidding. Good thing my roommates explained to me that it was not a sea but a lake. Yes, a lake inside the forest of Miag-ao. Who knew right? All I do is to study and pass through the forest everyday and then there is a lake. The view is great but once you step into the mysterious place you'll just forget all the pain that you had while going there. It was so beautiful.
Let us take another look on my adventure to Tinagong Dagat. Tara!
Tinagong Dagat
This is Tinagong Dagat. Looks like that Taal lake in Batangas right? My companions would say they are totally different but I just want to believe that they are the same.
Going there was not that easy because you have to walk and even crawl. The path going there is really steep however, the scenery going there is quite remarkable. It was truly breath-taking. I could touch the sky if I would want to.
This path going there looks like a place from New Zealand. Actually, when we were passing here I was imagining myself having a picnic, drinking tea and reading a novel.
Along the way we saw this beautiful flower. I rarely see flowers in the city and I'm so glad they took a photo of this 'rare' flower. It was just so beautiful that it was incomparable to other flowers. I would want to pick this flower, however, the guide said that I should just leave it there so that others would see it.
Sharing beauty to everybody is the greatest thing in the world rather than keeping it only to yourself.
Path going to Tinagong Dagat
When we reached the Tinagong Dagat, we saw some fishes in the lake. The guide said it was a 'fishing site' before, however, the lake is quite mysterious. Every time a boat tries to go across the lake, it sinks. Yes, it sinks. He even said that there are a lot of unfortunate souls under the water. The bodies were never recovered because they were sucked by the 'kumuloy' below. Goosebumps.
Well, our goal of swimming there was ruined. But still no regrets because he brought us to the falls which was truly amazing and mezmerizing. =)
Tinagong Dagat
While we were there, we were also able to capture the view of Mt. Napulak. IT WAS BEAUTIFUL. I promised myself to go there next sembreak and capture a lot more photos! =)
Well, the guide did take us to the falls. Unfortunately, I forgot the name but he said that there are 7 falls there.
The falls was just so beautiful and it reminds me of the Maria Cristina Falls in Laguna. The water was so pure and cold. Great way to relax after the Tinagong Dagat experience.
Sembreak camp wouldn't be possible without my wonderful and beautiful companions.
Ate Nuary and Ate Regine
So that was my wonderful adventure in Tinagong Dagat. Hope you all visit it because you won't regret it! It's a great escape from the polluted air of the city.
